"From the Runway"

"Boyfriend" trend made popular by Katie Holmes
Your Boyfriend's Back, and Better Then Ever

Well ladies, the sad season is here. There will be less sunlight, less pool days, less boys without shirts on. But don’t fret! We have super fun fall looks to look forward to. This year start raiding your husband, boyfriend, brother or lover’s closet, because the boy look will be huge this September.

We will start with the boyfriend jean. This is to be baggy but straight leg. Not K- fed baggy, just a classy, loose jean that is cuffed at the bottom. You can pair this with flats, sky high heels, or anything in between. You can do a dress up look and do a tank that shows a little hip, or just go casual with a baggy tee. This look is effortless, sexy and fun and fresh.

For the office, grab your man’s tie, jacket, or hell, even boxers if you feel like it. The look this fall will be bold and ballsy, but feminine. Think 80’s glam meets today’s chic. Don’t be afraid to rock the suit with a tie. Why not? Strong lines and large shoulders will be all over the cities along with shorter hem lines with button ups. To go from the office to the party, lose the jacket and pair a big man button up with a short skirt or cut offs and sky-high heels. Nothing spells sex more than a men’s shirt. You literally look like you just rolled out of bed… with someone else…Intriguing. Men always want what the other guy has anyway. Right?

Lastly, accessories this fall will pack a punch-a man punch. Necklaces will be statement pieces, earrings will be the centerpieces, and watches will be as big, if not bigger, than your granddaddy’s. The more over the top the piece is, the better. Cufflinks are also not just for Wall Street thieves anymore. They are for us too, girls! Go ahead and rock a jeweled pair or two.

The point of all this is that lines are blurring all over the map from politics to pumps. If he can do it, so can you. And you can probably do it better, faster and prettier. If you see something you think you could use, do it. Don’t be afraid to be aggressive, it’s how people get ahead, and get in bed. My advice is, throw a few accessories around it, pull your hair up for the office, down for the night, and own it. If you act like you planned this all along, people will believe it, and probably follow suit...

That’s all for now! Stay fab!
