Outside view of The Anchor Bar

Something new, something old! Looking for an incredible Sunday brunch with a tremendous view? Or perhaps you would like to "sip" on a nice cup of Joe with some atmosphere? Well then you will want to experience the following...

Horizon's Restaurant - It’s no secret that when the seasons change, the view from Horizons Restaurant, located within the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa, features on of the most beautiful views around. Couple that with their exceptional and creative cuisine, and you’ll see why Horizons has been a favorite in the Rochester area for nearly two decades. They’ve set the standard for serving the best in wines and food in an elegant, yet relaxed atmosphere that keeps their guests coming back for more. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, our "DR's" Pick is their amazing Sunday Brunch where each and every table presents an absolutely breathtaking view.

Elmwood Inn - Be it for lunch, an after-work gathering, or dinner with your favorite person or people, it’s hard to deny that the Elmwood Inn at 1256 Mount Hope Avenue caters to every occasion. Their full menu will appease anyone’s taste buds, and on Friday’s, they have one of the best Fish Fry dinners around. Close to some of the areas biggest colleges, fall brings with it a whole new class. With daily beer specials, which you can explore on their website, it’s a stop you’ll sure to be making time and again!

Boulder Coffee Company - Where the South Wedge and Monroe Avenue neighborhoods meet is where you’ll find the appeasing escape of the original Boulder Coffee Company. With not only the best in coffee drinks, but an extensive selection of alcoholic beverages as well, Boulder has something for every taste. A DR Pick is again hard to choose, but we suggest trying any of their scrumptious Paninis or wraps. Nearly every night of the week features any sort of unique entertainment choices in the evening, from open mic nights to hip musical acts. As fall gets rolling it’s a great Wi-Fi hotspot for the nearby U of R crowd. Find out what they’re all about!

Now that the days are getting longer, and the weather is getting warmer, what could be better than a group of friends, an awesome view, some live music, and a nice glass of wine or a Corona at the perfect outdoor place to be? Be sure to check out each of those hot spots before the sun goes down!

"DR's" Pick:The Anchor Bar
